The first confrontation of the year takes place in Australia. On Melbourne’s "Albert Park Circuit" Nick Heidfeld placed fourth in 2007. At the "Sepang International Circuit" the BMW Sauber F1 Team is expecting another hot race. Drivers need to be in top condition. Bahrain celebrates its fifth anniversary as host of a Formula One race. In many respects, the GP in the desert is unique. Every driver knows Barcelona’s "Circuit de Catalunya" like the back of his hand. Yet each race brings new challenges. The Bosporus heaves when Formula One decamps at the "Istanbul Speed Park". In just two years its daunting Turn 8 has acquired legendary status. The GP of Monaco is utterly unique; no other race provides such unlimited glamour. Stars and starlets are witnesses to its fights for victory. Last year Robert survived a terrible accident without serious injury. This time he intends seeing the chequered flag – and finishing well up the field. When Formula One hits Nevers, the beautiful city’s heart beats at full speed. The circuit is nothing if not challenging. The legendary "Silverstone Circuit" will host the mid-season race. The first-ever world championship Formula One was staged here in 1950. After a hiatus in 2007, the Hockenheimring returns as host of the Grand Prix of Germany. This year marks its 55th running. The Hungaroring lies close to the BMW Sauber F1 Team’s heart: 2006 and 2007 saw Nick race to third place. Robert made his GP debut here. After Monaco, the second street race of the year is scheduled for Valencia. Again, the track will be set up in the harbour area. Evocative corner names like "Eau Rouge" and "Blanchimont" raise the heart beat of every fan. Spa-Francorchamps truly is a classic circuit. No other circuit sees faster velocities than the “Autodromo di Monza“. In 2007 Robert’s top speed of 351.7 km/h was the highest. A ’first’ for Formula One: The inaugural Grand Prix of Singapore will be held at night – and on a spectacular street circuit to boot. In 2007 Mount Fuji’s capricious weather drenched the circuit lying at its foot. This year the drivers know what to expect. The "Shanghai International Circuit" appears larger than life. For drivers the circuit is a real challenge. Clear the stage for a thrilling finale. The last race of the season takes place in Sao Paulo. The circuit runs anti-clockwise.
